Santo Stefano d'Aveto – Fontana Buona Cappelletta

In the heart of Santo Stefano d’Aveto, the route starts from the square in front of the Castle and follows Viale E. Razzetti until the intersection with the state road. From here, it continues along Via Badinelli, passing the church and leaving the town. After skirting a parking lot, you cross the road and take a flat, shaded path, well marked by three yellow dots.
Travel time: about 40 minutes

Riofreddo – Riane Lake – Riofreddo

From the Rocca d'Aveto square, near the chairlift departure point, take the trail on the right (cross-country ski run) up to the Riofreddo meadow. Continue south along trail 192, passing the intersection with trail 190. After a flat section in the woods and a spring, turn right onto trail 190a, which leads to the picturesque Lake Riane (or Moglia del Monte). The return is along trail 190 until it reconnects with trail 192.
Travel time: about 1 hour and 30 minutes

Rocca d'Aveto – Pian Pendini

Starting from Rocca d'Aveto, follow trail 192, which begins to the right of the chairlift, until reaching Pian Pendini, surrounded by nature.
Travel time: about 45 minutes

Prato Cipolla – Groppo Rosso

From Rocca d'Aveto you take the chairlift up to Prato della Cipolla. From the refuge, follow the signs for Monte Groppo Rosso. Along the route, it is possible to take a detour to the ASTASS emergency refuge. From the summit, you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view of the surrounding area.
Travel time: about 30 minutes

Groppo Rosso – Roncalla (Prato del Pero)

From the top of Monte Groppo Rosso, follow trail 197 to Monte Roncalla, also known as Prato del Pero, which offers a striking view of the Piacenza valleys.
Travel time: about 10 minutes

Rocca d'Aveto – Sopra Passo del Bocco

Going up towards Rocca d'Aveto, shortly before Bar Giulio, you take a road on the left that leads to a drivable section. Once the road ends, you continue on foot along the ancient Sentiero di Santa Caterina, which crosses the Valle Tribolata until the intersection with trail 103.
Travel time: about 40 minutes

Roncolongo – Fontana di Gatera - Groppo Rosso

From the village of Roncolongo, follow the Path of the Celts and Ligurians (blue trail marker with a Celtic helmet), passing near the Mulino dei Zorzi. The route leads to the Fontana di Gatera, surrounded by a large meadow, ideal for a break.
Travel time: about 30 minutes

The Ship

From the Chiodo Pass, follow the marked trail “La Nave”. Crossing an enchanting beech forest, you quickly reach a forestry road that leads to the characteristic rocky “keel”.

Penna Pond

From the Casermetta del Penna, follow the dirt road towards Passo dell’Incisa. After a few hairpin bends, take a forestry road on the left (closed to traffic). Following the yellow markers in the woods and going up the course of a stream, you reach the picturesque glacial Lake Penna, of great naturalistic interest.
Travel time: about 20 minutes

Sawmill – Moggia Negretta

Also from the Casermetta del Penna, take the dirt road toward Passo dell'Incisa. After the old sawmill, take a pedestrian path on the right, closed by a wooden barrier, which leads to the Moggia Negretta Refuge.
Travel time: about 1 hour

Gropparo – Allegrezze

From Santo Stefano d'Aveto you go down towards Pievetta along a historic mule track as far as Gropparo. Here, a path on the left leads into the woods: always keeping to the main route, you pass under the Alpine Village until you reach Allegrezze, the starting point for the Castelluzzo path.
Travel time: about 40 minutes

Middle Mountain

From Santo Stefano d'Aveto, you can reach the Passo di Mezzo (1,243 m) by car along the road to Torrio. From here, you walk up to the summit, marked by a cross. The view ranges over the slopes of Groppo Rosso, Ciapa Liscia, and Conca Tribolata.
Travel time: about 20 minutes

Passo Crociglia – Monte Crociglia

You can reach the Crociglia Pass by car. From the pass, head north along trail 001 to the summit of Monte Crociglia, characterized by wide meadows and wildflowers and dominated by the white statue of an archangel.
Travel time: about 30 minutes

Castelluzzo

From the village of Allegrezze, take a well-marked trail that climbs the ridge up to Monte Castelluzzo. Along the route, you will encounter the remains of an ancient fortified structure, once a strategic control point for the valley.
