Our Lady of Guadalupe, landmark of the peak
Just below the main peak is the statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe, located here in 1947. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of Mount Maggiorasca and represents a significant stop along the climb. In addition to its religious and cultural value, the location offers one of the most beloved viewpoints, often chosen as the final destination of the hike.
Every year, towards the end of summer, the peak is the center of a traditional pilgrimage that confirms the strong bond between the mountain and the local area.
